Spring into vegetable gardening; Free vegetable gardening workshops open to the public

OKLAHOMA CITY – Whether you are an experienced gardener who wants to grow bigger and better crops or a novice gardener who wants to learn how to get started gardening, you have the opportunity to attend a FREE “Vegetable Gardening” workshop.

The workshop will be held at the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service, located at 930 N. Portland, Thursday, March 13, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

“For experienced gardeners, putting new research to work really can help increase garden yields and decrease the overall work load associated with gardening,” stressed Ray Ridlen, Horticulture Educator for the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service.”

“And for novice gardeners, we focus on every aspect of gardening from soil preparation to maintenance schedules.”

The “Vegetable Gardening” workshop will also be offered Thursday, March 20, at the Midwest City Library from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

All horticulture classes are offered free to the public.
