State superintendent talks about controversial education bills

OKLAHOMA CITY - It is a big task to try and lift Oklahoma schools from the bottom of many lists, including teacher pay and student achievement.

Recently, proposed changes by lawmakers have been extremely controversial, including a proposal to get rid of those end-of-instruction exams and a bill that would end state funding for AP history.

Superintendent Joy Hofmeister stopped by our studios to talk about some of those controversial bills.
