Police chase ends with arrest, stolen vehicle in custody

CHOCTAW, Okla. – One person was arrested after he led police on an overnight chase through multiple cities in a stolen car.

The chase started around 11 p.m. Friday night after a Valley Brook officer stopped Jarrod Nichols near SE 59th St. and S Eastern Ave.

The officer was attempting to confront Nichols about an active warrant and a revoked drivers license when he took off, according to police.

During the chase, police say the Nichols threw drugs out of the car.

Nichols was taken into custody after he crashed the vehicle into a ditch near S Choctaw Rd. and SE 29th St.

Police later discovered that the vehicle was listed as stolen out of Oklahoma City.

Three agencies were involved in the chase including Valley Brook and Choctaw Police and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

An officer with the Choctaw Police received a minor injury to the wrist while taking Nichols into custody.
