MOORE, Okla. -- An Oklahoma Department of Tourism truck was stolen from Lake Murray. The suspect was found and arrested in a Moore chicken coop.

Moore police located the stolen vehicle at N.E. 16th St. and Smokey Tree early Wednesday morning. Just before officers pulled the suspects over, two men fled on foot.

Neighbors looked outside to see what the commotion was about.

"There was like five cop cars out there with a truck pulled over and a trailer," Elissa  Lewis said.

"I seen a boot in the middle of the street and I was like, what is going on? Maybe they ran," Chena Thompson said.

Police quickly arrested the passenger, 34-year-old Andrew Waterman, but lost track of 43-year-old Patrick Keene.

"That's when a lady came out into the street saying that someone had come into her back door. She tried to get away. They grabbed her, pulled her into the hallway. She was able to escape, run out the garage," Sgt. Jeremy Lewis, with Moore Police, said.

Laurie Harlow lives right next door to that woman.

"It's real scary. I mean that's too close to home. It was just next door," Harolow said.

Police say shortly after, Keene was spotted heading south through a storage facility and running across train tracks.

He then hopped over a fence; where he hid after that surprised officers.

"When searching the backyard, they saw his legs sticking out of a chicken coop," Sgt. Lewis said.

That is where Keene was arrested.

Neighbors say they are taken aback by the incident and thankful no one was hurt.

"Everything goes on like this in every neighborhood. I'm just concerned with it being mine. This is my family and him to run in my house would have freaked me out," Thompson said.

Keene and Waterman are being held in the Cleveland County Jail on a number of charges.
