FAIRBURN, S.D. – A storm chaser says he was struck by lightning while shooting video out of his car window in South Dakota.
Scott Sheppard was chasing storms in Western South Dakota when he began shooting video out of his car window.
Sheppard says the bolt of lightning struck his arm and continued down to the ground, blowing a hole in the road.
According to CNN, the storm chaser was not hurt too badly, but he did feel tingling sensations in his arm for about 24 hours.
However, his car was not so lucky. The lightning strike disabled his vehicle, and it had to be towed.
CNN recently interviewed the storm chaser to talk about his experience.
