When you think about bullying, you may think back to middle or high school.

However, researchers say bullying can also affect adults in the workplace.

A university in England published a study on Tuesday on the spiral of workplace abuse.

Researchers say workplace bullying leads to poor health because the victim is exposed to a very stressful situation, which results in anxiety.

The study says the victim may have less energy to respond to difficult situations and receive less support from colleagues or supervisors.

Researchers recommend that employees have strong policies against workplace bullying, as well as programs for victims to learn ways to cope.
