OKLAHOMA CITY — Two cars, including a Highway Patrol car, were involved in separate crashes during a high-speed chase around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Speeds of the chase reportedly reached at least 100 mph as the female suspect drove on the shoulder.
The woman driving the car made a last-minute decision to take the Tuttle exit. Exiting at high-speed, the silver car rolled several times and came to a tumbling halt near the Tri-City Wal-Mart, north of Newcastle.
The suspect proceeded to get out of the car after the crash and took off running.
Police followed her on foot, and she was taken into custody a short time later.
It is unknown why the suspect was being chased.
The trooper reportedly blew a tire at SW 104th and I-44.
The condition of the trooper and the suspect involved in the crashes are unknown at this time.
