TULSA, Okla. – A 14-year-old is dead after a north Tulsa shooting around 9:30 Thursday night.

Sergeant Dave Walker said the teen girl was shot in the head while riding in a white Ford truck on the Gilcrease Expressway.

The girl was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in grave condition and pronounced dead around 3:00 a.m.

Police said the driver of the Ford truck heard a noise and thought something was wrong with their trailer.  That is when they pulled over and the suspect shot the teen in the backseat.

The Ford was pulling multiple four-wheelers on its trailer.

Walker said detectives are looking into the suspect wanting to steal the four-wheelers as a possible motive for the shooting.

According to KJRH, authorities are looking for a “black car” as the suspect vehicle.

Later that night, a police chase involving a black Dodge Charger ended just before 10:30 p.m.

Police took two males into custody.

However, authorities say they believe the suspect could still be one the loose.
