TULSA, Okla.—Police say a Tulsa teen was defending himself after he hit an intruder with a sword.

Police say the 17-year-old was home alone when he heard 18-year-old Jeremy Wayne Olson kicking in the front door and coming inside the home.

That’s when the teen grabbed an old sword and confronted Olson, hitting him over the head.

Olson fled the scene but called police saying he had been shot.

Olson was treated and released from a local hospital and promptly arrested for burglary.

He is being held on a $20,000 bond.

We’re told the 17-year-old victim will not face any charges.
