Texans being told to “take shelter now” in west Denton

Portions of Oklahoma are under a tornado watch and some severe weather near north Dallas.

A massive storm is heading straight over western Denton, Texas.

There have been reports of 82 mph winds near the Denton airport.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. Denton residents were issued a tornado warning in Denton County.

Multiple media outlets are reporting “most dangerous part of Denton Co. storm right along HWY 380/377 crossing north end of Lake Lewisville.”

Brian Curtis with NBC5 tweeted a picture of the hail that is brewing along with this massive storm.

As of 6:45 p.m. there have been no confirmations of any touchdowns or damage.
