BOERNE, Tex. — The majority of a house was leveled and one man was seriously injured after a house fire in Texas on Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said a call came in around 12:00 p.m. about a fire in a subdivision just east of Boerne, Tex.

According to Fox San Antonio, a witness said he saw the roof blown off a home, and he helped pull a man out of the rubble.

Officials confirmed one man suffered burns to more than 80% of his body and was taken to an area hospital.

Two neighboring houses were also damaged. Neighbors said the explosion was felt as far away as 300 yards.
