SAN MARCOS, Tex. — A Texas State University student’s response to losing her license after a DWI is going viral.
Tara Monroe, a junior industrial engineering major, had her license automatically suspended after refusing to take a breathalyzer test following a Waka Flocka Flame concert, according to MySanAntonio. She was charged with a D.W.I. and held on $3,000 bail.
Her father reportedly took her car, and left her with a bike to get around.
“Riding a bike around campus sucks,” she told MySA.com. “Like really sucks.”
The 20-year-old quickly came up with an alternate form of transportation.
After some Craigslist perusing, Monroe found a bright pink child-sized Barbie jeep for $60.
She bought it and named her new ride after the previous owner, a little girl named Charlene.
