OKLAHOMA – The nation is officially celebrating Columbus Day, but some places, including the OU campus in Norman, are celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day – a way to recognize the native population already in The Americas when Columbus discovered the new world for Europe and a protest about the way the Columbus’ men treated that population.
