NEW YORK– Police are on the look out for three thieves who have allegedly stolen hundreds of cartons of ice cream over the last few months.
According to the NYPD, the trio targeted pharmacies in Manhattan for their frozen treats, striking 14 times.
During business hours the sweet-toothed robbers made off with dozens of cartons and boxes of Haagen Daaz, Ben & Jerry’s or Talenti ice cream. They also stole Red Bull, 5-Hour Energy, Muscle Milk and cold medicine.

Authorities say in all, this trio has stolen nearly 1,200 ice cream bars and cartons.
This type of theft has become popular in NYC. Police say thieves target pharmacy chains for high-end ice cream cartons. They then resell the ice cream to bodegas and corner stores throughout the city.
