OKLAHOMA CITY- We all know it’s a risky habit, texting behind the wheel.

However, for now, the state of Oklahoma has no plans to make texting and driving illegal.

For the third time this session, the Oklahoma House has tabled a proposed law to ban texting by drivers.

Thirty-nine other states have banned texting while driving.

A supporter of the latest measure, House Minority Leader Scott Inman, said lawmakers don’t “have the guts” to bring it to an actual vote.
