Update: Officials in Muskogee County say several loose barges that are headed towards the dam near Webbers Falls and endangering the town with devastating flash flooding.

WEBBERS FALLS, Okla. – Residents in Webbers Falls are being told to ‘evacuate immediately’ after flood waters continue to rise.

Webber Falls Public Schools were closed Wednesday.

An emergency evacuation shelter has been opened at The Church on the Word located at 1511 Cullwell Drive in Warner, OK.

Webber’s Falls PD says they are predicting a breach as 2 barges are loose in the Arkansas River & will hit the dam structure.
