A choking hazard has prompted the recall of more than 13,000 toy cars.

The recall involves Schylling’s ‘Police Press and Go’ toy vehicles.

The hat on the toy can detach from the policeman’s head and pose a choking hazard to young children.

So far, there has been one report of the hat detaching.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The toys were sold nationwide from April 2010 to this past April.

Consumers can return the product for a full refund by calling Schylling at 800-767-8697.

An additional 2,100 toy cars are being recalled in Canada.
