Three Mustang officers involved in overnight accident

MUSTANG, Okla. – According to Sgt. David Mangrum, Mustang police pulled over one vehicle for a potential DUI.

Two other officers responded to the scene to assist with the mandatory sobriety test.

While officers were performing the test, a separate vehicle pulled away from traffic and hit the officers cars.

This happened at approximately 3:15 a.m.

Police tell us the driver of the vehicle had fallen asleep at the wheel.

One minor and two adults were taken into custody for DUI and public intoxication due to the original traffic stop.

The man who fell asleep at the wheel was not arrested, but received a citation.

No one was injured in this accident.
