Traffic being diverted after semi-truck gets stuck under power lines; Many residents without power

OKLAHOMA CITY – A busy road is closed due to a truck getting stuck near some power lines.

Authorities say N.E. 23rd St. is closed due to a semi-truck getting stuck under a few power lines.

The truck has broken off the top of at least two power lines, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Traffic lights are out from N.E. 23rd from Spencer, past Choctaw.

Traffic is currently being diverted at Choctaw Road and Indian Meridian.

The roadway will be shut down for some time.

Currently, 1,973 people are without power, according to OG&E’s website.
