Tulsa tornado: One man dead, up to 60 homes destroyed in mobile home park

TULSA, Okla. — One person was killed Wednesday, as severe weather swept through the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas.

The storm ripped through a mobile home park in Sand Springs, Maj. Shannon Clark with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office told CNN.

According to NBC News, up to 60 trailers were destroyed there.

On Thursday, Chief Mike Woods, with the Sand Springs Fire Department, confirmed the victim who died in the tornado on Wednesday night was a man.

Gas to the area has been restored, but the power remained off.

Families are still not being allowed back into the mobile home park.
