TULSA, Okla. - A Tulsa woman is credited with saving dozens of children during severe storms Wednesday.
Around 76 people, including 25 children, were at Aim High Gymnastic Academy Wednesday evening when the storms hit, KJRH reported.
Jennifer Patterson, a Aim High Gymnastic Academy staff member, was able to get everyone in the building into the basement before the building's roof collapsed.
Tulsa Fire Captain San May says Patterson possibly saved dozens of lives during the building's collapse.
Firefighters arrived shortly after the damage and carried the children to safety.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
