EL RENO, Okla. – Deputies in Canadian County arrested two people after they were allegedly caught trying to steal from an Oklahoma homeowner.

Deputies were called to a home in El Reno after the homeowner spotted a white truck with a box trailer backed into his driveway.

The homeowner said two people were trying to steal his power washer.

According to reports, 30-year-old Justin Freeman and 21-year-old Diamond Fairres told officers that their truck started to overheat, so they pulled into the driveway to get off the road.

When deputies asked Freeman what he was doing with the power washer, he said that he accidentally hit it with his truck when he pulled into the driveway.

Authorities say they then found the power washer attachments already loaded in the trailer.

The property owner said this was the second time Freeman had tried to steal his power washer.

Deputies also said the trailer the couple was using was also stolen.

Freeman and Fairres were arrested for grand larceny and knowingly concealing stolen property.
