Three earthquakes rattle Oklahomans Sunday afternoon

GUTHRIE, Okla. – Residents in Guthrie may have felt a few afternoon tremors Sunday.

According to Oklahoma Geological Survey, a 3.4-magnitude quake hit just after 12 p.m. Sunday.

The quake hit about seven miles from the Guthrie area, near Seward, Okla.

The 3.4 tremor has a depth of about 3 miles.

Another quake struck about 20 minutes later near the same area.

OGS recorded the second quake with a magnitude of 2.9.

A 3.7-magnitude quake struck just after 2:45 p.m. Sunday.

This quake hit about 7 miles away from Guthrie residents.
