Two killed after head on crash in Pontotoc County

PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. – Two people were killed following a head on crash in Pontotoc County.

Around 4:47 a.m. Sunday, Shawn Jones, 33, of Pauls Valley, was driving eastbound on State Highway 3E when he traveled left of center, an accident report states.

Jones’ vehicle crashed head-on into a Jeep Renegade driven by Brooke L. Trotter, 34, of Antlers.

Trotter and one of her two passengers, Becky N. Trotter, 29, of Antlers, were pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries.

Trotter’s other passenger, 61-year-old Jauqetta I. Trotter, was transported to an Oklahoma City hospital in stable condition.

Jones and his two passengers, 44-year-old Nicolas Rowan and 27-year-old Jason Stewart, were not injured in the crash.

Officials are investigating what caused Jones to go left of center.
