OKLAHOMA CITY - Two people died after being transported to a local hospital after a house fire in southeast Oklahoma City

Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, a home in the 1200 block of S.E. 19th Terrace caught fire.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found two victims inside the home.

A male was found near the front door and a female was found in another room.

After pulling them out, firefighters performed CPR on both victims before being taken to the hospital.

Sadly, both victims passed away.

Officials say the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

However, fire officials did say the fire appeared to be a smoldering fire, not an active fire.  The fire was confined to a converted garage bedroom on one side of the home.

Fire crews on the scene estimated the home sustained about $10,000 in damage from the fire.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with expenses.
