That chase lasted almost two hours and finally ended when the suspect was apprehended after ramming and stealing numerous cars along the way.

The suspect put many drivers in danger, pulling off the road in the red SUV and stealing a gold mini van from a couple.

Shortly after that, police confirmed Chavarria-Rodriquez was found safe. However, it was not immediately clear if the boy was found in the discarded SUV.

Police tried to use spike strips to try to stop the suspect but it only slowed the chase.

The man got out of the van for a few seconds and jumped back in and took off.

Authorities followed him through side streets and across highways where he rammed other vehicles before carjacking numerous victims.
