That little thing that dangles in the back of your throat - it's called a uvula.

And one Colorado boy can stretch his to unbelievable lengths!

According to the Huffington Post, Sam Ireland accidentally bit his uvula one day, then grabbed a hold of it, and realized his was extra stretchy.

(Most are not, so don't try it!)

Ireland's uvula stretches nearly 3.25 inches, which conjures up images of a frog zapping a bug!

The 17-year-old says it doesn't hurt and that doctors are not concerned, calling it a "party trick."

However, Ireland says he did accidentally swallow his uvula once and compares the experience to pulling a piece of spaghetti back up your throat.

The trick has gained him some notoriety around his high school, and the Huffington Post reports that Ireland will be mentioned in the newest issue of Ripley's Believe It or Not! Eye-Popping Oddities.

If you can stomach it, take a look at these other people stretching their uvulas.
