DUNCAN, Okla. – Veterans are heartbroken after a one-of-a-kind statue meant to honor fallen soldiers turns up missing.

Just a few crumbles of concrete are all that is left where the 5-foot, 700-pound statue of a soldier once stood.

It was being prepped for the past six months and was to be placed in a memorial garden and dedicated April 6.

It was last seen around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Duncan police department (580) 255-2112.
