Victim chases after stolen car, catches suspect

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A woman came home from work about 3 a.m. Tuesday to see her car stolen from her driveway.

The victim lives in the area of SW 59th and May.

Police responded to the theft at the same time the victim borrowed a friend's vehicle and started searching for her stolen car.

The victim spotted her car, and chased after the suspects about 15 minutes until police joined in.

The suspect driver bailed on the pursuit in the area of SE 66th and Byers.

Police deployed a K9 unit that was able to catch the suspect so police could make the arrest.

The suspect climbed a six foot fence leading to an empty field before he was finally taken into custody by officers.

The owner of the vehicle arrived on scene and claimed her car.
