PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – In Pennsylvania, a black bear was dubbed the ‘bucket bear’ after a run-in with a semi-air bag.
The male cub was spotted in June with the bucket on its head and walked around with it for two month.
A local game commissioner said there wasn’t anything wildlife officials could do, because the bear wasn’t hurting anyone.
That’s when a group of people took action.
They grabbed the bear and subdued him, then used a bow saw to free the animal.
The group posted cellphone video of the rescue to the Facebook page titled “Save the ‘Bucket Bear“.
