ATLANTA – A man shooting video of rain out the window of an airplane captured some incredible footage Tuesday.

Jack Perkins’s pulled out his phone after his flight was delayed due to weather.

Perkins was sitting on the tarmac of the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, when a lightning bolt struck a nearby plane.

While filming, Perkins didn’t react to the lightning bolt on the 737. He didn’t even realize he had captured the moment until he watched the video again later on.

Lightning bolts actually strike airplanes fairly often, however it’s not everyday they’re caught on camera with such clarity.
