OKLAHOMA CITY – A violent stabbing at a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex left an 8-month-old baby dead, a 4-year-old in critical condition and an adult male badly injured.

Around 12:30 a.m., police were called to the Cambridge Landing Apartments, near S.W. 89th and Drexel, on reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

When officers arrived, they found 28-year-old male victim lying outside with stab wounds.

Police then found two other victims inside an apartment unit, a 4-year-old girl and an 8-month old boy.

Police say the 8-month-old baby, Ezekiel Veloz, passed away due to injuries he sustained during the stabbing.

A 4-year-old girl and the adult male were transported to the hospital.

Officials say the 4-year-old is critical condition and the 28-year-old is in stable condition.

Police say the suspect is the children’s mother, 21-year-old Raven Veloz.

She also reportedly stabbed herself multiple times.

Police say she was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

She is under arrest and facing charges for 1st degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities are investigating what may have led to the stabbing.
