JONES, Okla. – Faculty and staff at Jones Elementary School have discovered graffiti, which included vulgar language, covering the building.
Jones police responded Friday morning to the school after staff discovered vulgar language that was spray-painted along many walls outside the building.
“Of course, when we got here, we were met by school officials,” said Officer Randy Nailon with the Jones Police Department.
School officials spent their morning tirelessly scrubbing and wondering who could be behind the crime and why they did it.
“Immediately, started going over surveillance tapes, stuff like that. The detective and lead officer is currently dealing with that, and getting statements and things,” Nailon said.
Thankfully, when many community members heard the unfortunate news, they went out to help clean it up. They got the job done pretty fast, thanks to the rainy conditions Friday morning.
“When we need something, we make a call and we get a lot of people here in a hurry,” Nailon said.
So far, no arrests have been made.
