STONEWALL, La. – Many young girls dream about becoming a cheerleader for their school.

When the announcement for the North DeSoto Middle School cheer squad was posted on the website, Renee Parker immediately started recording.

Her 10-year-old daughter, Lacey, wanted to be a cheerleader, just like her older sisters.

The video, which was posted to her Facebook page, has been viewed over 3 million times.

Lacey, who has Down Syndrome, was not expected to live very long after birth.
