Water rescues, evacuations take place after Purcell & Lexington are left underwater

PURCELL, Okla. — Purcell and Lexington are only two of many towns experiencing extreme flooding due to the massive amounts of rain in Oklahoma.

People were evacuated Sunday due to flooding in the area near the Walnut Creek Bridge, according to Purcell PD.

Reports say several water rescues took place using an OHP fan boat.
