MADISON, Wisc. – A wedding crasher is wanted in connection to thefts at a Wisconsin church.

It’s the second time thieves have struck in the last year.

First, a funeral…and now a wedding.

While Amanda and Ryan Kartos were saying their vows, a robber was stealing from the bridal party’s belongings in the basement of the church.

“I know a couple of people talked about setting purses aside, but you just forget about it, we felt comfortable, it was all our friends and family, it was a church,” said the bride, Amanda Kartos.

Ryan and Amanda discovered when they went to leave the church, that someone had robbed the room where the bride and her maids had gotten ready.

“My moms wallet, my sisters, several other bridesmaids, one who flew in from Alabama . She didn’t have any of her ID’s or credit cards,” said Amanda.

Madison Police say surveillance video from a nearby Wal-mart shows a man dressed in wedding attire using a bridesmaid’s credit card an hour later.

“People after the fact said oh yeah I saw him at the wedding standing outside the bridesmaid room but they just thought he was a family member just hanging out,” said the bride.

The couple wants other brides and grooms to be on the lookout and not let their guard down at the church.
