West middle school student arrested for threats

PONCA CITY, Okla. – According to Ponca City police, a West Middle School student was arrested Thursday for making threatening statements.

School officials, a school resource officer and a Detective investigated the information and a 14-year-old male has been taken into custody.

Investigators are working with mental health professionals to determine a course of action. 

Authorities have not released the student’s identity or the nature of the threats.
