OKLAHOMA CITY – A woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Monday night, officials say a cop was flagged down by a man who claimed he was having a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.
According to the police report, he told the officer his girlfriend had locked him out of his apartment.
When the officer arrived to the apartment, he saw 51-year-old Carolyn Jackson standing at the door behind locked burglar bars.
The officer claims the woman was screaming at him and her boyfriend, saying she wasn’t going to let him in.
After calming down, police say the woman agreed to let her boyfriend stay in the apartment for the night.
As the officer was walking away, he says he heard the boyfriend say, “just leave me alone tonight.”
According to the police report, Jackson became enraged and shoved her boyfriend against the wall and started yelling at him.
The officer yelled at the woman to stop and put her hands behind her back, but she refused.
The officer says Jackson then went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife.
She allegedly pointed the knife towards the officer and told him to get out of her house.
The officer ordered the woman to drop the knife, and she listened.
However, police say Jackson still refused to listen to the officer when he told her to put her hands behind her back.
The officer then sprayed pepper spray on the left side of the woman’s face.
The woman was placed under arrest and booked into Oklahoma County Jail.
Officials say she has a previous felony conviction for assault and battery on a police officer.
