BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – A woman was arrested after a foster child in her care died.

Authorities say 25-year-old Mallory Krajian is accused of injuring one of the foster children in her care.

According to KJRH, the 3-year-old boy was brought to the hospital on August 27 with a head injury.

One of Krajian’s foster children told officials the 3-year-old was jumping on the couch when he fell and hit his head on a table.

The child said Krajian was helping another foster child in another room at the time.

The toddler died in the hospital two days later.

Authorities say Krajian’s description of what happened did not match with the “level of trauma.”

According to official documents, the detective said the area in which the child was reported to have fallen contained clues that it had not been disturbed by the fall the Krajian’s said was the cause of the fatality.

Mallory Krajian’s husband, Peter Krajian, was also arrested for child abuse.  However, police say the charge against Peter Krajian is unrelated to the murder charge against his wife.

Authorities say Peter Krajian is being accused of abusing a different foster child that was in the couple’s care.

KJRH reports both Krajians are being held in the Broken Arrow City Jail.
