BELMONT, N.C.  – Teresa Greene says she may be evicted from her home because of her American flag.

Greene and other residents of the Cato Mobile Home Community received letters saying that all flags must be removed from their rental lots.

An employee from the park told WBTV that the new flag rules were put in place to avoid controversy. They say they have received requests from some renters to put certain flags up outside their homes.

However, employees decided that no flags should be allowed.

Greene says she refused to take her American flag down. She was informed that she has 60 days before she is evicted.

According to WBTV, Greene plans to appeal the eviction.
