Woman recovering after being hit by driver in northwest OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – One woman is waking up in the hospital after she was hit by a car near the Oklahoma City University campus.

Around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning, police say a driver was headed southbound on Classen near N.W. 24th St. when he crashed into the woman, who was running across the road.

We’re told the woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition and the driver is cooperating with police.

Officers are now investigating whether alcohol played a factor in this accident.
