Woman survives shooting in home invasion

OKLAHOMA CITY — Four robbers are on the loose and an Oklahoma City Woman is recovering after being attacked and shot at her apartment.

It happened just before 2 a.m. Friday in the 3600 block of N. Tulsa.

Police said a 20-year-old woman a was shot after simply answering a knock on the door.

“Thankfully her injuries were non-life-threatening,” OKC Police MSgt. Gary Knight said.

MSgt. Knight said four people showed up at her door and forced their way in; three men and a woman.

Police said the victim was held at gunpoint outside her apartment while they ransacked her home.

She began arguing with the fourth robber and that’s when the attacker shot her.

Neighbors said they heard several shots.

They said the neighborhood can be dangerous and didn’t want to talk on camera.

Authorities are working to get suspect descriptions. 

“Just be vigilant and anytime there is someone at your door that you don’t know, err on the side of caution. Call 911; that’s what we’re there for,”  MSgt. Knight.

Police urge anyone who has information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
