NEW YORK – A New York woman recently found out how lucky her fortune cookie numbers really were.

Seventy-five-year-old, Emma Duvoll, won $2 million playing the Powerball drawing after using the numbers she had on her fortune cookie.

According to a statement from the New York lottery, Duvoll opted for a one-time payment of $1,246,085 after taxes.

Many people have found their fortune cookie numbers to be good luck.

According to reports, in 2005, 110 people all hit the same Powerball numbers, winning $100,000 each.

Investigators found that all of the winners had used numbers from their fortune cookies, which all came from the same company.
