ST. PETERS, Mo. – What should have been a fun day at the Mid Rivers Mall quickly turned into a nightmare for one young child.
A bungee trampoline ride in the middle of the mall malfunctioned while a young girl was on it.
“The young girl, crying and she was like screaming. Some of the other parents who were in line said the bungee cord just broke and she went flying over toward the food court,” Jim Piech told KMOV.
Fortunately, a second bungee cord kept the girl from harm.
However, Piech says the broken bungee cord simply snapped and now has him concerned about the safety of the ride.
