THE VILLAGE, Okla. - Police responded to a call about a vehicle crash about 11:30 p.m. Thursday night and discovered the young pregnant woman in the driver's seat had been shot to death.

It happened in a neighborhood near Hefner and May in The Village.

Authorities report the victim, 22-year-old Amber Dawn Stokke, had been shot multiple times.

Stokke, who was about six months pregnant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said they believe Stokke was shot while driving north in the 10300 block of Sunnymeade after leaving her house.

They said she continued driving northbound on Plymouth where her car drove through a yard and hit a fence.

Witnesses said they saw a man by Stokke's car at the time of the shooting.

They said they saw another man standing away in a yard.

Authorities said the suspects were last seen running southbound on Sunnymeade.

They do not have detailed suspect descriptions at this time.

There hasn't been a murder in The Village since 2008.
