Yukon officer involved in head on collision

YUKON – A Yukon police officer is in stable condition this morning, following a head on crash.

Just after three this morning near Reno and Mustang road.

Police say the officer was likely on duty, or heading home when another driver hit him head on.

Investigators believe the other driver was under the influence of alcohol.

NewsChannel4 is told the Yukon officer sustained minor injuries.

It’s unclear if he was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle was arrested at the scene for DUI.

Officers say everyone on the scene was stable and the officer is expected to be alright.
