Oklahoma ’89er Day Celebration

The Oklahoma Territory Land Run of April 22, 1889 has been commemorated in Guthrie,Oklahoma, site of much of the Land Run’s initial settlement and the territorial capital, held the inaugural 89er Day Celebration on the famous land opening’s first anniversary.

This year marks the Official 84th Annual ’89er Celebration in Guthrie,Oklahoma.

The Celebration includes a Parade, Carnival, Chuck Wagon Feed, Rodeo, Old-timer baseball game, and Queen Coronation.
The Queen reigns during the 89er Parade and Chuck Wagon Feed. There are also a First Runner-up and Second Runner-up to the 89er Queen.
Prior to the Celebration Artists are asked to Design a Window Pictoral or display a historical colection related to the 89er theme.
These entries are Judged by Committee and the results are presented at the Chuck Wagon Feed.
