COVID-19 global surveillance system

Seen on TV

A new COVID-19 global surveillance system is being launched today that will track where the virus is and where it might be headed.

The system, which was developed by scientists at Northwestern University and the University of Florida, will include data from 195 countries including the U.S.

They say it will identify outbreaks at their beginning, predict where it will spread and how fast it will arrive.
