OKLAHOMA - The Oklahoma Home and Community Education group will offer an educational lesson on children and stress.

The free workshop will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 28th at the N.E. Regional Wellness Campus.

The 'Children and Stress' program will explain what stress is and how children respond to difficult events in their lives. It will also discuss the different types of stress and how to help children cope during stressful situations.

“Stress responses are unique for each child," said Lisa Hamblin, Oklahoma County Family and Consumer Sciences Educator. "When adults observe their behavior and listen to children closely, they quickly learn to recognize those signs of childhood stress.
