Barons Rally To Win in Overtime, Take 2-0 Series Lead

The Oklahoma City Barons rallied from a 3-0 deficit to force overtime, then got a goal from Connor Jones in OT to beat San Antonio 4-3 and win Game 2 of their first round American Hockey League playoff series on Saturday night at the Cox Center.

The win gives the Barons a 2-0 series lead over the Rampage, who went 9-2-1 against OKC during the regular season.

Trailing 3-1 late in the third period, the Barons got a pair of power play goals in the final four minutes to tie it.

Jordan Oesterle scored with 3:17 to play, cutting San Antonio’s lead to 3-2, then Matthew Ford scored the goal to tie it with 36 seconds to play.

Game 3 will be Wednesday night in San Antonio, with if necessary games set for Friday and Saturday, also in San Antonio.
